Create a sophisticated corporate identity for a newly formed investment company that would serve as the acquisition and growth arm of a long-established family of businesses. Unlike a consumer-facing brand, Winter Street Partners would primarily interact with bankers, investors, acquisition targets, attorneys and C-suite executives — making credibility, heritage and trust essential components of the brand.
Winter Street Partners was established as a subsidiary of the C&S Family of Companies, a business with roots dating back to 1918. The shareholders wanted the new brand to reflect the strength and stability of the parent organization while establishing its own distinct identity within the investment and acquisitions space.
Rather than relying on abstract financial imagery, we looked to the company’s history for inspiration.
The name Winter Street Partners was inspired by one of the company’s earliest and most significant assets — a warehouse located on Winter Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. This historic building represented more than real estate; it symbolized the entrepreneurial spirit, hard work and long-term vision that helped establish the foundation of the organization more than a century ago.
Using archival photography of the original warehouse as reference, we developed a custom logo mark that captures the building’s distinctive architectural form. The simplified rendering transforms a historic structure into a timeless symbol of stability, growth and stewardship.
The resulting identity creates a direct visual connection between the company’s past and its future.
